diamond jim: still on the loose

you have less than a week to catch diamond jim or one of his 599 tagged impersonators, so get out there to the fishing hot spots and catch something! diamond jim is worth $25,000 and the imposters are worth $500 a piece. if you dont catch the big money ones, at least you will have dinner.

2009 Maryland Fishing Challenge Grand Prize

i wasnt at the 2009 Maryland Fishing Challenge awards presentation on friday @ sandy point state park because i was working...i wouldn't have gone anyway, but the winner of the grand prize (from perryville) is sure glad he showed up this year! he took it all with a 40.8" striper hooked near calvert cliffs on mother's day weekend: that's my hood, and i havent caught one that size since may.
breaking news: diamond jim is still on the loose!

diamond jim still on the loose and worth $25k

this summer, three batches of 50 specially tagged striped bass were released into the chesapeake bay by the maryland state dnr with bounties on their heads paid to the lucky fisher-person who snagged them. sponsored by the 2009 fishing challenge, the fish release is supposed to encourage all people to enjoy nature. one of the tagged fish, diamond jim, is a special beast, valued at $25,000! i follow him on twitter.
