this summer, three batches of 50 specially tagged striped bass were released into the chesapeake bay by the maryland state dnr with bounties on their heads paid to the lucky fisher-person who snagged them. sponsored by the 2009 fishing challenge, the fish release is supposed to encourage all people to enjoy nature. one of the tagged fish, diamond jim, is a special beast, valued at $25,000! i follow him on twitter.
